Remember we bring you this podcast to support the industry, the second amendment, and most importantly every firearm instructor in America that dedicates time and energy into making gun owners more knowledgeable.
About the thoughts about needing the NRA, I think you both are correct, we need the NRA around so they can do the work they are doing. However, I cannot support them because the BOD is showing they are just a good old boys club and not putting the effort to change the direction of the organization. I hope Amanda does get elected to the BOD and some change can be made in turning the NRA around. Americans vote with money and use that to get organizations attention. Unfortunately, the NRA has lost membership and the Board is not getting the picture. Definitely hope she does get on the board and can begin the process of change though.
Brian – I hope Amanda also gets on the BOD. There needs to be changes and new blood for it to be ready for the modern fight for gun rights.
I have remained a member of the NRA so I could add my vote for people like Amanda to bring about the necessary changes needed. Leaving under protest only weakens the NRAs voice within the national debate on gun rights. If your not a member you can’t vote for that change.
